Couei's Approach to WiMAX
WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is the subject of intense interest as a technology for realising wireless broadband. In particular, expectations are high for IEEE802.16e (Mobile WiMAX), the standard for next generation mobile broadband access, and at present, many telecommunications carriers around the world are getting ready to offer Mobile WiMAX services.
At Couei, we are focusing our efforts on Mobile WiMAX, and have taken the lead in releasing the XCAL-X logging tool and the XCAP-X post-processing tool which are based on our successful products for CDMA2000 and UMTS (WCDMA)*. These logging and post-processing solutions provide a logging platform for chipsets from a number of vendors. They offer powerful support for optimising the entire WiMAX system, whether improving wireless quality, ensuring effective use of wireless resources, or improving the efficiency of coverage. With a comprehensive lineup including the XCAL-SX scanning receiver for measurement that can acquire a wider range of data with higher precision (under development), Couei provides a total solution for improving the service quality of WiMAX systems.
*This lineup also supports IEEE802.16d (Fixed WiMAX).
Couei is a member of WiMAX Forum, the WiMAX industry organization. In addition to reflecting the latest information obtained through the Forum in our products, we are contributing to the evolution and development of WiMAX systems through our own business activities.
